SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING The Sacrament of Anointing is administered to those who are seriously physically or mentally ill. It may also be administered to those in danger of dying, the elderly or those who are preparing for surgery. It may be received individually or at a Mass, where the congregation can join in praying for those receiving the sacrament. Like all sacraments, the Anointing of the Sick should not be taken lightly.
